My five childhood dreams :)

When i was still a child, a person who loves to cry and seek attention, i had many uncountable wonderful but unattainable dreams. They were all not very realistic though.

I remembered vividly that i desperately wanted to be a singer or rather an actress when i was young. Watching the mediacorp actors and actresses act, it makes me have a great passion in acting. Of course, that was just my dream. I wanted to be on stage to perform or even appear in front of the television to showcase my talent in acting. I was hilariously interested. There was once when i really did seek my parents for permission if i could actually go to mediacorp to act! Be it acting as a cartoon character or whichever, i didn't mind so long as i get to appear on television. All this vagary start floating in my mind that one day, i will be a successful and famous actress that many people adore and admire. But unfortunately, i did not manage to accomplish this very dream. It was just my thoughts and as i think back, i really do not know why i actually have the urge to be an actress. Though now i may not be one, i hope next time i may become one ! Interesting huh.

My second dream when i was young, was to marry a strong and charming husband. As i was young that time, i thought of who my ideal husband will be. It was amazing! Apparently, after eave dropping what my sisters had gossip about the guys they admired, i pondered and went back into my room to day dream about my ideal husband. Way back then, i was still as childish so i didn't really go through much thinking, so i just came out with this dream out of the sudden. So yes, this dream is hopefully to be accomplished, of course, the man must be a christian and must have a kind heart. hee hee.

My third dream was to become as rich as a millionaire. It will be way too cool! i would love to have as much money as i can, to be able to buy a grand and beautiful big house, a nice car and probably all the things that i don't have. Having said that, having a lot of money may cause one to take money for granted and also spoil the particular person. So, i shall reconsider this dream. Maybe i will dream to have sufficient amount of money to spend on my clothes and many other things ;]

My forth dream was to become the owner of a chocolate and sweet factory so that i can always consume as many candies as i want everyday! When i was young, i love candies too much that i must have either one chocolate or sweet each day no matter what. However, this candies made me lost my two front tooth when i was young. But of course again, this dream is definitely impossible to be accomplished.

My LAST but not least dream was the only dream that was realistic. It was to excel in whatever i do. Be it studies or working, i must handle both of them well and at least have a reasonable job that my parents will be proud of. This dream has yet to be fulfilled and i hope it does! Firstly, i want to be literally transfered to the express stream so that i can be one step closer to my dream.

I would also like to be a dancer in future! I love to dance. It makes me feels as if i'm a total care-free person who just loves dancing. It also makes me relax and enjoy.
THERE ARE MORE DREAMS OF COURSE!
hahaa.

My favourite spot in school

So basically, my favourite spot in school is none other than the awesome netball court. To me, the netball court is not an ordinary court , but instead a place full of love and friends. The love from my team-mates, as well as my coach is really unconditional. Although the netball court is relatively small in size compared to the volleyball courts and the hall, i still favour it a lot. The netball court is a place where we girls train, laugh and gossip together. I must say, it was really a time of bonding with my team-mates and it's incredibly fun. I just love the netball court, we really treasure it. Without the netball court, we weren't be able to train, hence causing this cca to step down, which is really really saddening news for all of us. Netball may not be a nich sport in St hilda's secondary school, but still, we will not be disheartened but instead persevering throughout the whole of our secondary school lives in netball.

I had been using the netball court for almost two years. Time flies. Reflecting back, i still remembered vividly that i wasn't really a divine netball(er) when i was secondary one. Netball was a sport that was totally new for me. I didn't know what were the rules therefore i made a lot of terrible mistake. To be frank, i was not very enthusiastic in netball last time, as i got a problem with catching balls and estimating my throw of balls etc. However, after much training as well as my coach's guidance and patience, i managed to improve tremendously. If it's not because of the existence of the netball court, i guess i wouldn't act like a netballer, meaning to say, i won't be able to catch simple balls or rather intercepting any balls. So indeed, the Netball court really benefited me a lot, a lot. I just can't explain how much i love and thank the Netball court. This particular place was where i first started to realise my dream, my vision and vagary.

We've gone through lots of ups and downs in the netball court, be it losing in some games, quarreling or even having conflicts with one and another. I think that the days that had passed so far had held our friendship tightly enough that we never faced any kind of lousy attitude anymore. Our team is a team, although there are still cliques here and there, we still bond together. We would pray together as well, knowing that God brought everyone of the netballers here to give him glory. All that we've been through in the netball court, the happiness and sadness were all memories that will etch in my heart forever. It will not be forgotten, neither will it be a vagued memory, it's a clear one instead. I'm always flabbergasted by the way we actually work as a team and go through lots of ridiculous refrees and opponents, i truly is obliged to my teamates and coach. I REALLY LOVE YOU GIRLS. you girls totally rock.

just want to conclude that, the netball court is blatantly a wonderful, beautiful, daunting and extraordinary! I love it. Above all, through all my experiences on court, I see myself changing and learning as I goes on. So are my teammates, they were always the one encouraging me and cheering me on when I made some mistakes. So, thankyou netball court, teammates and especially COACH!

signing off, MAGDALENE!

599 words.

whenever this song play, i'll sing along with it.
Jonas brother is my favourite band.
all their songs are just so exceptionally wonderful and nice.

Music surrounds my world, without music, there is no atmosphere.
so yes, i choose this video not because it is like very very nice, but i choose this because i feel comfortable seeing and hearing it.

What happened today from 7.20am-7.25am, 12feb.

Recalling back, i remembered that when i heard the bell rang, i panicked. I was practically trying to find my song book that I needed for morning assembly, after searching every where around me, i still couldn't find it. At that point of time, i thought i was going to be scolded by Mr Gopal for not bringing and everything caused me to be in a bad mood. While i was walking down the staircase, my best friend came to me and passed me my song book. I was ecstatically jumping around when i saw my song book that was just in front of me. Although it might seem to be a small little thing, but to me, it's really a miracle as i don't remember myself passing or rather lending her my song book. This little song book is really precious, i'm going to use it for the whole entire life in this school. And to be thrifty, i should try and not lose this little book. Back to the jumping around, my friend called me crazy girl. Soon, I settled down at the parade square at about 7.23am which is 2 minutes before the national anthem start. For that two minutes, i salute to my friends beside me. And chatted to my friends about the common test that is starting next week. I realised the mistake that i made after many practices that i did at home. I just couldn't believe this two minutes actually benefited me! I really thank God for this time. Time is really precious, don't just give up even if you are left with very little time. This is what i learnt. To conclude, this morning is just so blissful and wonderful.

MAGDALENE

my 5 personal recounts of my end-of-year holiday activities

hey there.

First thing first, i must say i really enjoyed my holiday tremendously. For this period of time, i went to alot of places in Singapore that i've never been for a long time. Like for example, last week, i went to the Singapore Zoological center with my relatives. I was primary two since i last came here. When i first entered the entrance, the staff there welcomed us warmly with some goodie bag as they were celebrating their anniversary. The first impression they gave me was " GREAT, i'm going to enjoy myself today " and indeed, after seeing all the different types of animals having different type of lifestyle, i really enjoyed myself. I still remembered when i was primary four, my science teacher taught me about animal habitat etc. So, after the whole trip, i realised my knowledge in animals became better than last time. While walking around the zoo, we took photos everywhere we go. The most challenging thing for me there was to take photo with a snake. Since young, i hated snakes. I find them very creepy and scary, so i did not dare to even go near them. After watching a snake show just the night before, it tends to make my heart pump faster. Soon, after all the encouragement, i decided to take the very first step and went forward to take a picture with the snake. I prayed a little prayer to God that he would protect me from the snake. I know that was kind of a rather silly prayer, but i guess God was there to protect me and my relatives from any dangerous attempt. ;D Thank God and praise God, no prayer is too small for him. Everyone went and reached home safely.

The second thing, which is a testimony i want to share is that Lifting everything unto God, and step up with Faith is what all Christian should believe and do. At first, our church wanted to search for anyone with talent in singing or acting to represent our church and perform in the upcoming Christmas celebration in Singapore. My sister encouraged me to join but i denied. But after some while, i agreed to join the choir team with all my friends. We began attending all the practices. In the middle of all the practices, Our youth adviser asked us whether we are interested in a dance that they are also performing for Christmas, we immediately agreed. The dance and choir practice clashed together. So we had to decide which one to go. And after all the discussion, we went for both. We changed the timing of the dance practices and thank God, everyone is available. It was quite tough juggling two event at a time, but it was God that conquer every difficulties we faced and conclude us in a way that was not stress but relaxing. So on the performance day, we stepped up on stage at Orchard road where there are millions of people walking along the pathways. The first item was the choir, while the second item was dance. We pulled it off and throughon stage.Everyone clapped and cheered after our dance, we were exceptionally happy to gain everyone's attention[not in the bad way] ;D The whole performance was indeed a successful one. Everyone enjoyed themselves and yes, we did it! We stepped onto the stage with confidence and faith. God really exist ! It was an unforgettable and exhilarating day for each one of us.

Moving on to the third thing, i remembered vividly on my birthday, my church members and i went to ESCAPE themepark! As it was their anniversary that day, the entry fee was only $7. Haha, i'm so lucky, everywhere i go, there's an anniversary promotion. ;D Back to the topic, i did not spend any money on the entry fee. One of my church member treat me and i took it as my first birthday present. hehe. All the rides i took were fantastic! Really, it's extraordinary COOL ! Of all the rides, i preferably find inverter the most enjoyable one. It's a ride that makes you go wild!! ;DD okay, practically, it's a ride that goes all the way up and hang you upside down, scary eh? But it's totally fun ! You guys must try it alright [; Enough of that, talk about other rides like Go-kart, that ride was the most challenging one for me once again. We have to complete three laps before stopping. So, one lap consist of a very steep slope and stuff. But, i just want to talk about that. Firstly, i'm scared of heights, secondly, the slope is kind of bumpy. I didn't dare to press on the accelerator but i know i must conquer my fears. And yes, under God's grace, i derived down the slope smoothly. I went for the second time and i was still as scared. But for the third time, i totally gave it a push and from than, i was not scared of the slope anymore. It's a compliment for me :D The next ride, Rainbow! It's an ordinary ride though. It can take up up to 20 people. yeah, it's COOL . The children's roller coaster seems ordinary too, but when you experience it, you will actually find it scary also. So, don't take anything for granted :D The ride i always look forward to is none other than Vikings! It's a shape of a pirate ship. It goes up and down. Each time it come down, it will go higher and higher until it reaches a point. Ny friend and I sat on the extreme top of the ship. When the ship goes down and up, our heart will like not pump and as if it stopped pumping. It's really exciting! Last but not least, Wet & Wild. By hearing and seeing the name of the ride, you should know what the ride is all about right? But to elaborate more, the ride basically makes you wet and as well, go WILD. You have to sit on this boad which goes around and will meet up with two slide. The first one is the shorter one while the longer one is as high as 15 m! When you come down from the slide, you will get splashed. Sounds fun right? So, you got to try! Haha, i'm like advertising escape to you people. Lol. ;DD

Oh ya, you all might wonder how i celebrate my Christmas right? Yes, that's the forth thing i want to share about what happened. Apart from all the performances, i went to my church member's condo to celebrate.
We had barber q. All the junk food. The best was the turkey! ;D Most of our stomach were bloated after eating all the delicious food. There were different flavors of donuts from donuts factory also! See, Singapore have lots of good food! ;D After eating, we went to the basketball court to play captain's ball. Wow, the guys are really strong ! Unfortunately, my team lost. But it's okay, at least we had fun! At about 9pm, the security guard asked us to leave as they had to lock the court, so we left. We went up to the condo to watch television. The show we watched finished already, so we were rather quite bored. Luckily, our church members entertained us. We played poker, not gambling. Haha, was fun! After playing for many rounds, one by one went to bathe. And than, some watched ghost shows on youtube. I'm afraid that i would have nightmares, so i went to the room with my sister. I went out again, coincidentally, they finished watching already, so they asked me whether i want to go macdonalds now as they were hungry. I hesitated, but in the end i still went. It was around mid-night, 3.10am. We walked there and it took us fifteen minutes. We chatted while walking happily ;D Yes, you might think we are crazy. But who knows, it's really fun and moreover we only walk out in the middle of the night annually? For me, it's my first time. After we ate, we immediately came back. We stepped in the house with lots of yawning coming out from people's mouth. Everyone was really tired, so we slept at five. Some of them did not sleep as they were playing a game called dota all throughout the night. My friend and I woke up the latest amoung all, so we had to quickly brush our teeths and change and then, went out to eat our lunch. After lunch, everyone went home. That night was really interesting ! Really miss those times.

Lastly, i had to go to school twice a week for netball training. It's really tiring for me as i have to travel alot. I stay far from school, but i never regret coming into this wonderful school that kind of changed me a little. :D
Yes, and as usual, we will do our warm-ups by running around the school for three rounds. It's super EXHAUSTING! After warm-ups, we will do our drills etc etc. As training starts in the morning, everyone of us were quite lethargic and did not do our drills properly. That led us to coach scolding us, but i think we deserves them. Coach is not as free as what we supposed. She came all the way from her house just to coach us, so yeah, we must buck up! Oh yes! Coach said i improved ! i'm so overwhelmed by that phrase. i'm really going to push myself even more to win ezone next year! We are going to bring the glory back to school ! Okay, being random, my mum just bought me a new netball shoe! She's just so nice ! All mothers are good alright, treasure them. Haha, not because she bought me the shoe ah, Parents are just parents. They nag because they want us to be good. Lol, why am i talking about that? Okay, back to netball ! I LOVE NETBALL ! Last week, we had our last training for the year. We celebrated at our team mate's condo. Ate lots of junk food as well. It was a time of bonding session. I think we're quite bonded already. Haha. This friday, we are going to have our own training, going to run around bedok reservoir to gain our stamina. Yes, and to end of, SCHOOL'S REOPENING!

well, the first thought that came to my mind were bombs, fights, violence, japanese and people dying. I thought about this things because this are the most common things that happened during the previous wars.

There was once when my grandmother told me about the war, i was rather quite shocked to hear that Japanese were actually the ones who's trying to invade Singapore. Upon hearing about how bad was the Japanese, i began to dislike Japanese after many years of

okay, first i will try and pick up all the litters on the floor in order not to pollute the environment as well as the air. If the air is polluted than our environment will be unclean;dirty.
normally, people will not pick up the litters not because they are lazy, it is because the litters on the floor may not be clean. Like, a tissue paper that had just been used by a person with flu? yups, so, they are afraid of diseases. Of course, some people also do ignore the litters and walk away, we should have the habit of throwing our OWN litters into the bin ourselves.

The second thing i will do to save the environment is to save electricity. Saving electricity is really important because of the recent global warming. The global warming has been really ad the past few months. The ozone layer is getting smaller and smaller and once the ozone layer is gone, people might die due to the heat of the sun that people could not take. So, whenever u are not in class or home or anywhere, just remember to switch off all the fans, lights, air conditional etc. whatever that requires electricity have to be switched off.
SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT NOW. wooo. =D

OH ya! and the 3Rs! recycle, reduce and reuse. We could always recycle papers that are not really used. For example, if you used only the front page, u could always recycle by using the back page. you can always recycle tins and bottles too. =D Reduce the number of trees cut down for papers. Do not take papers for granted, it is hard to get. yupps. that's all .
=D

5 things i want to see in my new school building

The very first thing i want to see is a newly opened fast-food restuant called carl's juniors. pupils can enjoy the food there and be ecstatic because they are being served with not so expensive foods but yet nice!

the second thing i want to see is a indoor swimming pool and basketball court. Indoor place are really good.
it can shuttle us from rain. Normally, people always stops a game when it rains. But in this indoor place, we do not have to stop, we can continue to play on. so, its really nice and good.

the third thing i want to see is a COMPUTER FOR EVERYONE instead of textbooks. i'm really getting bored of textbooks! i' ve like used it since when i was k1? or even nursery. okays, i really think most of the pupils will really be excited to receive their computers. teachers always say that when we come in to the computer room, we will not be able to concentrade well... but, as for some people, they are so interested in the lesson that they concentrade more than normal lessons. so yups, COMPUTERS ARE 100% ENCOURAGED TO HAVE.=D

the forth thing i want to see is a long jump pit!!!!! as my favourite thing is LONG JUMP.
ever since primary 4, i've been traning till primary six. And under my teacher's guardians and efforts, i've acheived 4th in nationals for long jump.My dream is to be a long jumper forever, i never regreted being in this school although it doesn't have track and field-long jump.

the last thing i want to see is a air-conditioned classrooms! it's really soo cool and cozy. And that we can study well in an air-conditioned room as it makes us feel fresh and confortable.

THAT'S ALL?
noooo..

i'll add one more okays..
the very very last thing i want to see is a JAMMING ROOM! to jam! it's so relaxing..
i can jam..
woooo =D

THAT'S REALLY ALL.

5 things i can do to make my class a better place to study in.

hmmm, the first thing i will do is to make myself comfortable in this class and to adapt with new environment and friends. As what i said for friends, i found my GREATEST friend and it is SAMANTHA! To elaborate more, i realised i've met alot of wonderful friends and have adapted to this school as well as class. It has been wonderful and pleasent journey throughout this 1 month and 14 days. Compared to primary school, this secondary school has been exceptionally well teached by my subject teachers.

As for the second thing i will do is to make the classroom more live by having a cozy library to relax in and making our classroom as clean as it would be. [suggestion: having nice and beautiful curtains to cover up the room]
We have duties to make the classroom better as in making it looks cleaner and tidier, but frankly, i think most of us don't take the task seriously.

Thirdly, having teachers and classmates to be as polite and courteous as they could be. That would be really really great! We won't be scared to ask questions from teachers to improve on our , friends not backstabbing us. ohh, how i wish this class was like that. But never mind, this class is wonderful enough already.
Teacher can be friendly, can be strict. You have to choose what you want your teachers to be like. We don't have to envy or criticise our friends whoever they are.

Forthly, arranging tables and chairs is the forth things i want to talk about.
The arrangement of chairs and tables should not be individual. To me, i think arrangement in groups is really much much more better. But, sitting individual good points are that we are unable to communicate with friends and that let us concentrade on our lessons more. Well, sitting in groups is fun though, but bad points are we won't be able to concentrade well enough and may not do well in our test; exams.

Lastly, decorate of classroom. Well, decoration of classrooms do affect the class to be a better place to study in. Imagine, would you like to study in a plain and empty classroom? No right. so yupps, having notices, posters and paints do good for the class though. I strongly encourage the class to be as beautiful as possible so that it would be the best place to study in.

                                                                     SIGNING OFF: MAGDALENE! =D

---------------------------------------------------END----------------------------------------------------------
